Formed in the Big Apple, NYC, AJR is a band composed of the Met brothers, Adam, Jack, and Ryan. The band is famous for creating a very unique style, bringing together genres like indie, electronic, and pop. The brothers started their love for performing at a very early age and were never afraid to try. They started performing in the streets until they released their first album, "Living Room," in 2015.
Another important event happened to the brothers in 2016 when they put out their EP, called "What Everyone's Thinking," in September that year. The EP includes the songs "I'm Not Famous" and "Weak". "Weak" got certified Platinum in several countries like Australia, Belgium, the Netherlands, and the US. It's been streamed over 250 million times on Spotify in just one year.
At the beginning of 2019, AJR put out the song "100 Bad Days," which later became the main single for their album "Neotheater". AJR later released a music video for the song 2 months later.
Some of AJR's most popular songs include hits like "Burn the House Down," and "Bang!" These songs have millions of streams on Spotify and YouTube. As for the brothers' albums, "The Click" and "Neotheater" are some that made them receive love all over the world.
Besides their love for music and all three of them choosing the path of the music industry, they all went to college. Adam earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University, he later received a Master of Arts degree from New York University and a PhD in International Human Rights Law from the University of Birmingham. Ryan and Jack studied film at Columbia University.
